«Cantant al Rector de Vallfogona» is the album by Pili Cugat and Carlos Lupprian, released in 2022 by Satélite K on CD.
The verses of the Catalan Baroque poet Francesc Vicent García, known as the Rector de Vallfogona, come to life in this album by Pili Cugat and Carlos Lupprian. His poetry, full of eroticism and satire, was persecuted by the Inquisition; here it is presented with a folk approach and includes «Tant te vull com la ovella vol al llop» and «Queixes a Cupido».
The album contains eleven songs in Catalan, incorporates the cello in several pieces and has a total duration of about 109 minutes.
For lovers of folk music and, especially, of Catalan Baroque poetry.
