«Chante la Vierge Marie» is the album of Marian chants by L'Escolania de Montserrat, released on CD in 2012 by the label Harmonia Mundi.
The disc brings together a selection of chants dedicated to the Virgin Mary performed by the escolania of the monastery of Montserrat, a children's choir with a long tradition. The children's voices tackle a classic repertoire of Marian devotion, and the cover, with a painting of the Virgin and Child, underscores the religious character of the program.
The direction is by Ireneu Segarra, who is credited as orchestra conductor. The subtitle on the cover, in Catalan, indicates that the escolania sings to the Mother of God.
For fans of sacred choral music, Marian repertoire and performances by children's choirs.
