«Chants Grégoriens de Noël» is the Gregorian chant album by the Chœur des Moines de Saint-Benoît-du-Lac conducted by Dom André Saint-Cyr, released on CD by Forlane in 1993.
The disc brings together Gregorian chants from the Christmas liturgy performed by the monks' choir of Saint-Benoît-du-Lac Abbey, with pieces such as the introit «Puer natus est», the responsory «Hodie nobis de caelo» and the hymn «Te Deum». Biblical readings from the Old and New Testaments, recited in French, accompany the chants and are detailed in the booklet.
Recorded in Canada, the work has a total duration of 50:29 and features Réan Deschamps as reader of the biblical texts.
Suitable for fans of Gregorian chant, sacred music and the Christmas liturgical repertoire.
