«Classics: Complementary Tracks» is the various-artists compilation released in 1999 by Classics on CD (multi-disc edition).
Marking the tenth anniversary of Classics, this compilation is not a sampler: it brings together complementary recordings and rarities of mid-20th-century jazz and blues, featuring names such as Chick Webb, Taft Jordan, Al Cooper, Don Redman and Fletcher Henderson, with styles ranging from swing and big band to boogie woogie and vocal jazz.
The edition was released in France within the series The Chronological Classics, with catalogue number Classics 24.
For collectors of the The Chronological Classics series and fans of classic jazz seeking uncommon recordings.
