«Closer» is the album by Joy Division, released on CD in 1993.
A central work of British post-punk, «Closer» develops a dense, gloomy sound with introspective lyrics about anguish and alienation. Tracks like «Isolation», «Heart and Soul» and «The Eternal» show the tension between the bass, drums and Ian Curtis's voice, closing a brief but highly influential legacy.
Second and final studio album by Joy Division, originally released in 1980 and reissued in 1993. Produced by Martin Hannett, it includes nine songs.
For fans of post-punk and alternative rock, with an interest in a reference work of early-1980s British music.
