«Compact Jazz» is the Billie Holiday compilation released in 1990 by Verve on CD.
Compilation from Verve's Compact Jazz series bringing together Billie Holiday recordings in remastered versions. The selection, within vocal jazz, presents Billie Holiday's voice over jazz arrangements and serves as a gateway to the singer's discography for those unfamiliar with her original albums.
CD edition with one disc and catalogue number 831 371-2. The cover reproduces a black-and-white photograph of Billie Holiday alongside several microphones.
An option for listeners wanting to get into vocal jazz and for those who appreciate compilations from the Compact Jazz series.
