«Danses Slaves, op. 46 et 72» is the album by Claire Désert and Emmanuel Strosser, released in 2007 by Mirare, on CD.
The album brings together the two sets of Slavonic Dances by Antonín Dvořák in their version for piano four hands, with movements such as the opening Presto (furiant) and the doumka of the Allegretto grazioso. The music evokes Czech folk airs through the composer's Romantic language, in a dialogued and intimate reading.
Live recording in Nantes in 2007. Mirare label reference: MIR 042.
For fans of chamber music and Romantic piano repertoire who want to discover these dances in their original four-hand version.
