«Dido and Aeneas / Pan and Syrinx» is the double album of baroque operas by Musica ad Rhenum and Jed Wentz, released in 2005 by Brilliant Classics on CD.
The double CD brings together two baroque operas: «Dido and Aeneas», a tragedy by Henry Purcell, and «Pan and Syrinx», a pastoral by Johann Ernst Galliard. The first tells the fate of the queen of Carthage; the second recreates a pastoral fable. Musica ad Rhenum, conducted by Jed Wentz, performs both works.
Featuring Johannette Zomer (soprano) and Marc Pantus (baritone). Dutch edition with catalogue number 92464.
