«Dire Straits / Communiqué» is the Dire Straits compilation that brings together their albums «Dire Straits» and «Communiqué», released in 2001 by Vertigo as a double CD.
This double CD groups two Dire Straits albums: the self-titled one and «Communiqué». The repertoire falls within rock and pop rock, with a classic rock sound; the covers show their original aesthetic, with a figure by a window and a blue-toned scene with a person on a beach.
2-CD case released by Vertigo in 2001, with both albums remastered. Edition released in France, catalogue number 536 466-2.
Aimed at Dire Straits fans and classic rock enthusiasts looking for their two albums in a single case.
