«Divas Do Fado Novo» is a various-artists compilation, released in 2004 by MSI Music/Super D, on CD.
The album brings together ten female voices of Novo Fado, the most contemporary strand of Portuguese fado: it preserves the tradition of the national song and its guitar, but incorporates current instruments and influences. Alongside established performers there are others who are almost debutants; the booklet includes a short biography and a photo of each artist.
The album consists of one CD with two songs by each of the ten performers; it was released on May 24, 2004.
Aimed at anyone wanting to discover contemporary fado through current female voices.
