«East Meets East» is the album by British violinist Nigel Kennedy and the Polish band Kroke, released in 2003 by EMI on CD.
The project crosses Kennedy's classical training with Kroke's klezmer and Eastern European folk, in mostly instrumental pieces ranging from jazz to Balkan music. The acoustic and electric violin dialogues with the accordion and double bass in a repertoire that includes «Ajde Jano», «Ederiezi» and «Jovano Jovanke».
The album contains 14 tracks (65:14) with production by John Stanley and Jaz Coleman.
For listeners interested in the fusion of classical violin with jazz and world music, and for fans of Nigel Kennedy.
