«Easy Living» is the jazz album by Paul Desmond with Jim Hall, released on CD by RCA Victor Europe in 2000.
The album is based on the eight tracks of the original record, recorded in New York, with Paul Desmond's alto sax in a quartet alongside Jim Hall on guitar and Connie Kay on drums. The sound is light and melodic, with elegant versions such as 'Easy Living', 'When Joanna Loved Me' and 'Polka Dots and Moonbeams'.
Edition from the RCA Victor Gold Series that adds material to the original LP; the sessions, produced by George Avakian, feature Gene Wright, Gene Cherico or Percy Heath on double bass.
Recommended for those who enjoy cool jazz and small saxophone and guitar ensembles.
