«El Amor Brujo – Falla por Cañizares» is the album by Cañizares released in 2018 on CD.
Cañizares closes his trilogy on Manuel de Falla with ten pieces from El Amor Brujo and five from the Suite Homenaje, transcribed for guitar. Its Andalusian cadences and melismas stand out, proof of Falla's flamenco knowledge. The Ritual Fire Dance and the Song of the Will-o'-the-Wisp are heard.
Third volume of the Falla Trilogy by Cañizares. The original works are El Amor Brujo (1925) and Suite Homenaje (1938-1939); recorded in Madrid.
For fans of flamenco guitar and instrumental versions of Manuel de Falla, with an interest in the Spanish classical repertoire.
