«Electro-Shock Blues» is the CD album by Eels, released by DreamWorks in 1998.
The record was conceived after the deaths of Mark Oliver Everett's mother and sister, so grief, loss and despair run through its introspective lyrics. It combines alternative rock, pop and electronics in melancholic melodies, with tracks like «Elizabeth on the Bathroom Floor», «Cancer for the Cure» and «Climbing to the Moon».
The CD contains 16 songs and lasts about 48 minutes.
For those seeking 90s alternative rock and pop with personal lyrics and melancholic melodies.
