«Extra Virgin» is the debut album by British trio Olive, released in 1997 by RCA/BMG on CD.
The record blends trip hop and synth-based electronica with ambient and downtempo textures, fronted by the voice of Ruth-Ann Boyle. It includes songs such as «You're Not Alone», «Outlaw» and «Miracle», which were released as singles.
Originally issued in 1996, it was reissued in 1997 after the success of «You're Not Alone»; that reissue reached number 15 on the UK albums chart.
For listeners of nineties trip hop and electronica, with references to Massive Attack and Portishead.
