«Faces Down» is the debut album by Norwegian singer-songwriter Sondre Lerche, released in 2001 by Virgin Norway on CD.
The album moves between pop rock, folk and lounge, with arrangements that look to bossa nova and sixties pop. In songs like «Dead Passengers», «You Know So Well» and «Sleep on Needles», Lerche's vibrato voice and production play sustain a repertoire of eleven tracks that speak of youth and disillusionment.
All songs are written by Sondre Lerche Vaular and recorded at Duper Studio (Bergen) between November 1999 and October 2000. European edition on CD with one disc.
For listeners of pop rock with a classic sensibility and for those who want to discover a Norwegian artist at his starting point.
