«Footprints Live» is the live album by jazz saxophonist Wayne Shorter, released in 2002 by Verve Records on CD.
Recorded at concerts in 2001, this live release brings together Wayne Shorter with pianist Danilo Pérez, bassist John Patitucci and drummer Brian Blade. The quartet develops contemporary jazz with constant improvisation on compositions such as «Footprints», «JuJu» or «Aung San Suu Kyi», with long passages for instrumental dialogue.
The CD edition runs 63 minutes and features eight tracks; the cover presents it as Wayne Shorter's first live album.
For fans of contemporary jazz and post-bop, especially those seeking a live recording of a quartet with improvisation.
