«From the Beginning» is a compilation by saxophonist Scott Hamilton, released in 2002 by Concord Records, on CD.
It brings together two classic Scott Hamilton albums: «Scott Hamilton Is a Good Wind Who Is Blowing Us No Ill» and «Scott Hamilton, 2». It includes jazz standards such as «Blue Room», «Stuffy» and «Exactly Like You», with Nat Pierce and Monty Budwig, and showcases the swing and warm tone of Hamilton's tenor saxophone.
The original recordings from the two included albums date from the late 1970s.
