«Genesis» is the album with the original soundtrack of the eponymous film, composed by Ravi Shankar, released in 1995 by Milan Spi on CD.
The music of «Genesis», composed for sitar and instrumental ensemble, alternates contemplative passages and rhythms of the Indian tradition. Tracks like 'Genesis Theme', 'Passion' and 'Swing' show that variety.
The disc includes the twelve tracks of the soundtrack; the eponymous film was an official selection at Cannes in 1986.
It will appeal to fans of cult cinema and followers of Ravi Shankar's work.
