«Getxo» is the folk music album by Korrontzi, a Basque group, released by the Baga-Biga label on CD with an additional DVD.
The album presents Basque folk with the triki as its core: the sound combines cheerful, danceable pieces with more emotive ones, and collaborations from Mikel Urdangarin, Maya Anaiak, Susana Seivane, La Musgaña, Faltriqueira and Obrint Pas add variety. Standout tracks include «Panderotxoa», «Urruxu» and «Ataungo Ardi Beltza».
The CD includes 16 tracks and the DVD another 23, in a two-disc edition. The cover lists the names of the guest artists.
For fans of Basque folk and traditional music with modern touches, with a festive and danceable repertoire.
