«Go Back to Bahia» is a various-artists compilation, released on CD in 1998, with Latin rhythms and funk/soul.
A compilation conceived as a guide to Brazil's emerging sounds: it brings together tracks by Banda Mel, Olodum, Grupo Molejo, Fruta Quente, Onasis and Ze Paulo in a crossover of Latin rhythms with funk and soul. As a whole, the selection conveys a danceable energy, in keeping with the photograph of an Afro-Brazilian percussionist that illustrates the cover.
European edition on a single CD, with catalog number 398422123 2. It was released on May 26, 1998.
Aimed at those wanting a varied gateway to Brazilian music of the late nineties, with a festive and danceable focus.
