«Hefte raus - Klassenarbeit!» is the album by Helge Schneider and his band «Hardcore», released in 2000 by Mercury (Universal Music) on CD.
The album traverses German musical comedy with a jazz-funk base, rock and avant-garde passages, always under Helge Schneider's absurd humor. The title refers to a school exam, and the cover, with the artist disguised with a chicken head and sunglasses, already anticipates the playful and disconcerting tone of the record.
The CD edition is a single disc, with texts in German; published in Germany, it has catalogue number 542 876-2.
For fans of German musical humor, jazz-funk and Helge Schneider's comic avant-garde.
