«Ichi» is the album by Horacio Curti, released in 2008 by Musikeon, on CD.
The shakuhachi, the traditional Japanese bamboo flute, is the center of this work, which alternates pieces from the honkyoku repertoire with contemporary compositions. Curti explores the purity of sound in a serene and meditative listening experience, with a minimalist aesthetic also reflected in the cover.
For listeners interested in traditional Japanese music, the shakuhachi and meditative listening.
