«II» is the album by Gala Drop released in 2014 by Golf Channel Records on CD.
The album offers an eclectic fusion of electronic, rock and funk/soul, with passages ranging from soft rock to downtempo, dub and synth-pop, as well as echoes of Afro-Cuban jazz. Songs like «You and I», «Big City» and «Sun Gun» reflect that blend of organic textures and contemporary electronic production.
Recorded by Joaquim Monte at Namouche Studios (Lisbon) in November 2013; mixed by Gala Drop with António Pinheiro da Silva and mastered by Rick Essig. Photographs by Marta Pina and design by Adrian Fillary.
For listeners of eclectic electronic, soft rock and dub with Afro-Cuban and jazz influences.
