«Inspirational Sax» is the jazz compilation by Various Artists, released in 2011 on the Tring label, on CD.
The album brings together 24 instrumental saxophone versions of well-known pop and rock songs, in a melodic register close to easy listening. The selection includes pieces such as «Against All Odds», «How Deep Is Your Love» and «The Long and Winding Road»; the rest are classic tracks presented in serene arrangements.
Released in the UK by the Double Play label (Tring International); catalogue number GRF193. The cover carries the subtitle «24 Saxophone Greats».
For those seeking a quiet listen or a soft sonic backdrop; it fits well as ambient music in moments of calm.
