«Kind of Blue» is the jazz album by Miles Davis, released by Sony Music on CD, in the 2011 remastered edition.
Modal jazz album recorded by Miles Davis's sextet, with John Coltrane, Julian Cannonball Adderley, Bill Evans, Wynton Kelly, Paul Chambers and James Cobb. Its pieces, with an innovative approach, move away from functional harmony and are sustained on modal scales, leaving room for improvisation and a serene, melodic atmosphere.
Remastered edition, released in Europe in 2011 under the Columbia and Legacy labels with Sony Music. Includes a single CD and its style combines modal jazz, hard bop and post bop.
For jazz fans who want a remastered CD edition of this Miles Davis classic.
