«La Resurrezione» is the oratorio by Georg Friedrich Händel, released in 1997 by Musique d'abord, on double CD.
Sacred oratorio composed by Händel in 1708 with an Italian libretto by Carlo Sigismondo Capece, recreating the events between Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Through arias, recitatives and choruses, it expresses the characters' reactions to the death and resurrection of Christ, with expressive Baroque orchestration.
