«Le Nozze Di Figaro Highlights» is a selection from Mozart's opera conducted by Karl Böhm, released by Deutsche Grammophon on remastered CD.
Mozart's comic opera takes place over a single day in the palace of Count Almaviva. While Figaro and Susanna prepare for their wedding, the Count tries to seduce Susanna and the Countess plans to set a trap for him, with the help of the page Cherubino. This selection gathers some of the most celebrated arias and ensembles from the work.
The recording, sung in Italian, features the Orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the voices of Gundula Janowitz, Edith Mathis, Tatiana Troyanos, Hermann Prey and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau.
