«Les nuits d'été» is the classical music album by Marie-Nicole Lemieux and Daniel Blumenthal, released in 2011 by Cypres on CD.
The album brings together three song cycles of European Romanticism: Berlioz's 'Les nuits d'été', Wagner's 'Wesendonck-Lieder' and Mahler's 'Rückert-Lieder', in versions for voice and piano. Contralto Marie-Nicole Lemieux and pianist Daniel Blumenthal perform this repertoire with an intimate and expressive approach.
The recording was made at the Studio Tibor Varga in Sion, Switzerland; the texts are sung in French and German.
