«Let's Get Down to the Real Nitty Gritty» is the compilation by Ricardo Ray Orchestra, released in 2002 by Vampisoul on CD.
The repertoire mixes Latin rhythms, funk and soul: twelve tracks by Ricardo Ray's orchestra that move from boogaloo and descarga to mambo and soul, including songs like «Cool Jerk», «I Want You to Be My Girl» and «Soul Man».
Original 1968 recordings for Alegre, produced by Neil Galligan and arranged by Hutch Davie; compilation licensed by Sonido Inc.
For those who enjoy boogaloo, pachanga and danceable soul from the sixties.
