«Live at the Pit» is the live album by Kroke, released in 1998 by Oriente Musik on CD.
The record captures the live performance of the Polish trio Kroke, who play acoustic klezmer with echoes of jazz and contemporary music. Violin, double bass and accordion build melodies evocative of Eastern European Jewish culture, in an intimate setting of restrained intensity.
German edition recorded in 1998, framed within klezmer in folk and world music; catalogue number RIEN CD 19.
Will appeal to listeners of traditional and world music, especially those who appreciate acoustic klezmer and live performances.
