The record brings together seven songs by NG La Banda recorded in Havana, with a repertoire alternating guaguancó, son, bomba and salsa ballad. «Necesito Una Amiga» and «Que Viva Chango» show that mix of Cuban roots and brass orchestration within the danceable salsa of the 1990s.
Recorded in 1990 at Egrem studios in Havana, produced and directed by José Luis Cortés.
For listeners interested in salsa and Afro-Cuban rhythms, especially those looking for Cuban salsa albums from the 1990s.
