«Lucia di Lammermoor Highlights» is the album with the highlights of the opera by Gaetano Donizetti, released by Decca on CD.
The CD brings together the main passages of Lucia di Lammermoor, the romantic opera by Gaetano Donizetti, in a classic recording with Joan Sutherland, Luciano Pavarotti, Sherrill Milnes and Nicolai Ghiaurov, conducted by Richard Bonynge. The selection condenses the arias and ensembles that sustain the drama, with the composer's characteristic lyricism.
Edition on one remastered disc (ADRM) in Decca's Opera Gala series; completing the cast are Sherrill Milnes, Nicolai Ghiaurov and Ryland Davies.
For opera fans who want the essential passages of a romantic score on CD.
