«McAlmont» is the self-titled debut album by British singer David McAlmont, released in 1995 on Hut Recordings on CD.
The record blends rhythm & blues, funk, soul and pop with touches of electronics and indie guitars. McAlmont's androgynous voice and complex melodies define an unconventional art-pop; among its tracks are «Conversation», a Joni Mitchell cover, and «Not Wiser» and «Worn Away».
CD of one album in European edition, with catalog number CDHUT12; distributed by Virgin Records.
Will appeal to those who appreciate British art-pop of the nineties and unconventional voices.
