«Membra Jesu Nostri / O Bone Jesu» is the album with works by Buxtehude and Schütz conducted by John Eliot Gardiner, released in 1996 by Archiv Produktion on CD.
It brings together two sacred Baroque works: the cantata cycle «Membra Jesu Nostri» by Buxtehude and the motet «O Bone Jesu» by Schütz. The performance by The Monteverdi Choir and The English Baroque Soloists includes passages such as «O bone Jesu, fili Mariae» and the movements «Ad pedes» and «Ad faciem», within a meditation on the body of Christ.
It belongs to the Archiv Produktion Masters series: one disc, stereo reissue with digital recording and a duration of approximately 72 minutes.
Suitable for Baroque music listeners interested in sacred vocal repertoire and in John Eliot Gardiner's recordings.
