Morgue

Synopsis of Morgue

«Morgue» is the industrial electronic and darkwave album by German band Das Ich, released in 1998 by Danse Macabre on CD.

The record brings Gottfried Benn's poetry to industrial and darkwave: its twelve tracks address illness, bodily decay, and death from a raw perspective. Songs like «Kleine Aster», «Curettage», or «Requiem» condense that dense atmosphere with harsh electronics.

All compositions are by Bruno Kramm, with vocals by Stefan Ackermann; the album was recorded at the Danse Macabre Studios. The catalogue number is KROK 201.

For listeners of the gothic scene, darkwave, and industrial, with a taste for somber poetry.
