«Mozart L'Egyptien» is the album by Hughes de Courson, released by Virgin Classics, on CD.
Album that fuses Mozart's music with sounds, instruments and chants from the Arab world and Ancient Egypt. The cover hints at this with its title in French and Arabic calligraphy on a background reminiscent of papyrus.
Released in France, the CD combines classical music with folk styles from Africa and the Middle East. Record label: Virgin Classics. Includes the Diapason d'Or award on the cover.
Recommended for those seeking hybrid versions of Mozart and for listeners interested in the fusion of classical music with Eastern and African musical traditions.
