«Music for Big Band» is the Latin jazz album by Jerry González, arranged and conducted by Miguel Blanco, released in 2006 by Universal on CD.
The album mixes original compositions and covers, played by a large jazz ensemble with arrangements by Miguel Blanco. Jerry González, at the front with the trumpet, leaves room for soloists' improvisation over the big band's rhythmic foundation, in a crossover between jazz and Latin music.
The CD edition of «Music for Big Band» appears under the Emarcy label, within Universal's catalog.
For fans of Latin jazz and big bands, and for those who follow the work of Jerry González and Miguel Blanco.
