«Music for Efficient Sleep» is the traditional Chinese music album by Shanghai Chinese Traditional Orchestra, released in 1995 by Wind Records on CD.
It brings together serene instrumental pieces, composed by Chen Dawei and performed by the orchestra, within the realm of traditional Chinese music. The sound, soft and with a slow pace, is designed to accompany bedtime and promote restful sleep.
The album is the first volume of the «睡眠音樂» series, and the cover combines the Chinese title «安眠» with the subtitle «Sleeping».
A disc suitable for relaxation, as an aid to falling asleep and as an introduction to traditional Chinese music.
