«Neil Young» is the self-titled debut album by Neil Young, reissued on CD by WEA in 1988 after its original release in 1968.
The album combines folk rock, country rock and psychedelic touches, with string arrangements and acoustic guitars. Neil Young's voice and introspective lyrics sustain songs like «The Loner», «The Old Laughing Lady» and the lengthy «The Last Trip to Tulsa».
The 1988 reissue, with catalogue number 7599-27444-2, includes ten songs and 34 minutes of duration; production was handled by Dave Briggs and Neil Young.
Aimed at fans of Neil Young and classic sixties rock singer-songwriters.
