«Neither Fish Nor Flesh» is the second album by Terence Trent D'Arby, released in 1989 on CD.
Neither Fish Nor Flesh is an eclectic album combining rock, funk, soul and pop rock, with shades of blues and R&B. The lyrics address personal and emotional concerns, while the arrangements shift register and build a dense, theatrical atmosphere, far from more direct pop.
The full title of the work is Terence Trent D'Arby's Neither Fish Nor Flesh: A Soundtrack of Love, Faith, Hope, and Destruction. This edition is a single-disc CD reissue published in Europe.
For listeners of eighties pop rock, funk and soul, and for those seeking an authorial album with personality and musical risk.
