«Nightwork» is the black metal album by Diabolical Masquerade, released on CD in 1998 by Avantgarde Music.
The album develops a dark and unsettling atmosphere combining black metal with experimental and avant-garde nuances. Its conceptual approach rests on a macabre and theatrical aesthetic, reflected in the cover, where an ornamentation of human bones frames an illuminated gothic window. The music alternates aggressive passages with oppressive textures, creating a sonic journey that evokes a sinister ritual.
Recorded, mixed and mastered at The Sanctuary (Örebro, Sweden) in April 1998. The CD, in Digipak edition, includes the track «Rider on the Bonez» and «All Onboard the Perdition Hearse!». Cover photography by Photonic/Bulls Sir Robert Graves (Greylife Research).
