«No Protection» is the dub album remixed by Mad Professor from Massive Attack's «Protection», released on CD by Virgin Records Ltd in 1995.
The project began when Massive Attack commissioned Mad Professor to remix a track from their album «Protection», and the result became the dub version of nearly the entire record. Titles such as «Radiation Ruling The Nation», «Trinity Dub» and «Cool Monsoon» show a journey that transports the original trip-hop into deeper, more psychedelic and experimental territory.
European single-disc CD edition, released in 1995 by Virgin Records Ltd. Also known as «No Protection Dub».
Aimed at those who enjoy dub, downtempo and trip-hop, and at Massive Attack fans who want to hear a radical reinterpretation of their songs.
