«Oceanborn» is the symphonic metal album by Nightwish, originally released in 1998 by Spinefarm Records, on CD.
Oceanborn combines symphonic power metal with Tarja Turunen's operatic voice and a fantastical atmosphere, featuring epic compositions and orchestral elements. Tracks like 'Stargazers', 'Gethsemane' and 'Sleeping Sun' sum up that blend.
Oceanborn is Nightwish's second studio album, produced at Finnvox studios. This edition includes eleven tracks.
This album is for listeners of symphonic metal and power metal who value Tarja Turunen's operatic voice and the group's fantastical atmospheres.
