«Omega» is the album by Enrique Morente and Lagartija Nick, released in 1996 on El Europeo Música, on CD.
Omega fuses Enrique Morente's flamenco with Lagartija Nick's rock in versions of poems by Federico García Lorca and songs by Leonard Cohen. Tracks such as «Aleluya», «Pequeño vals vienés» and «Manhattan» adapt pieces from Cohen's repertoire, alongside the extended «Omega» that opens the album.
The CD has 13 tracks and includes collaborations by Vicente Amigo, Cañizares, M.A. Cortés, Montovita el Paquete, J.A. Salazar, Isidro Muñoz and Tomatito. Original distribution was handled by Karonte Records.
For listeners of flamenco and alternative rock, and for those seeking reinterpretations of Lorca and Leonard Cohen on one album.
