«On the Blues Side» is the Chuck Berry compilation released in 1993 by Ace Records UK on CD.
Compilation focused on Chuck Berry's blues and rhythm and blues side, with recordings from Chess Records showing his more restrained register, as opposed to his well-known rock and roll anthems. Alongside classics like «Confessin' the Blues» appear lesser-known tracks and studio rarities.
This British edition, on a single disc, offers mono and stereo recordings and carries catalogue number CDCH-397.
A work of interest for collectors and fans of blues and rock and roll, especially for those seeking Chuck Berry's facet beyond his hits.
