«Partitas» is the album by Johann Sebastian Bach performed by Pieter-Jan Belder, released in 2004 by Brilliant Classics on double CD.
Bach's six harpsichord partitas BWV 825-830 are dance suites with movements such as allemande, courante, sarabande and gigue. Harpsichordist Pieter-Jan Belder performs all six partitas; among them, the Sinfonia of Partita No. 2, the Ouverture of Partita No. 4 and the Toccata of Partita No. 6 stand out.
Recorded in 1999 on a Flemish-style harpsichord based on a Ruckers instrument, built by Cornelis Bom.
For fans of Baroque music and Bach's keyboard works, with a special interest in the harpsichord.
