The recording brings together two Mozart piano concertos: No. 23 in A major, KV 488, and No. 27 in B-flat major, KV 595, both in three movements. Alfred Brendel plays the piano with the Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, conducted by Sir Neville Marriner; among the movements, the Adagio of No. 23 and the Larghetto of No. 27 stand out.
The recordings were made in London in June 1971 (Concerto No. 23) and December 1974 (No. 27). Digitally remastered edition from the Silver Line Classics series, on a single disc.
