«Polonaises» is the album by Frédéric Chopin with Folke Nauta on piano, released in 2010 by Brilliant Classics on CD.
The album brings together polonaises by Frédéric Chopin, a central genre in his output through which he expressed his connection with Poland. The works range from salon dance to pieces of greater harmonic ambition that approach the mazurka, and Folke Nauta performs them with a solid structural sense and special care for dynamics.
1998 recording made at the Rotterdam Conservatory. Single CD with an approximate duration of 77 minutes.
For classical music and piano enthusiasts who want a detailed rendition of Chopin's polonaises.
