«Preservation Act 2» is the rock album by The Kinks, released in 1998 by Velvel, on CD.
«Preservation Act 2» is the second part of the rock opera Preservation: a concept album in which The Kinks blend rock, pop and theatrical elements to address politics, society and the clash between good and evil. The narrative relies on shifts in musical register and lyrics with a critical intent, typical of the group's style.
The 1998 CD edition is a remastered reissue, with catalogue number VEL 79722-2; the original work was released in 1974.
Recommended for fans of The Kinks and classic British rock who enjoy concept albums from the seventies.
